Course Description – Introduction to World Literature

Course Goals
1. Distinguish historical events, human progress, and literary development from different periods.
2. Recognize the value of different literary texts based on their contents, influences, genre, and their historical and cultural contexts.
3. Differentiate the various literary periods based on their major charactertistics.
4. Evaluate different literary texts
