Updated Van Assignment for July 22 Field Trip

FIELD TRIP ITENERARY

1.     Wear your IDs and any STI wash day tee shirt.
2.     Wear a comfortable pair of shoes; no slippers and shorts, please.
3.     Bring an umbrella that you can use on your walk to Intramuros.
4.     You may bring packed lunch/snacks if you want.

Museum Guidelines

  1. Baby strollers and wheelchairs are permitted at all times.
  2. If your child is under five, please hold his or her hand while inside the galleries.
  3. Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the museum galleries. They may be deposited at the admission counter.
  4. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the museum. Food is available at the Museum Café.
  5. If a security guard reminds you or a member of your family to keep your distance from an artwork, please know that this is just a part of the job. Security guards are in the museum to protect the collections and the guests viewing them.
  6. Pens and other permanent markers are not allowed inside the museum galleries. Pencils should be carried by adults at all times when walking through the galleries.

PLEASE REMEMBER
·        Big bags and packages should be left or deposited at the checking counter.
·        Teachers, parents and tour guides should accompany their respective groups during the whole tour in order to maintain discipline and proper decorum inside galleries and exhibit halls.
·        Photographing museum objects may be allowed only with the written permission from the Museum Education Division, Rm 410, National Art Gallery Building (Old Congress Bldg.)
·        Interactive equipment and items should be used gently and properly handled. Damages to exhibit materials resulting to improper use will be charged accordingly to the visiting school/institution.
·        Nobody is allowed to touch the exhibits (i.e. paintings, sculptures,
anthropological, archaeological and natural history specimens) except for the hands-on items.
·        Smoking is strictly prohibited in the National Museum premises and grounds.
·        Eating and drinking are only allowed in designated places.
·        Running and shouting inside the galleries are not allowed. 
·        The National Museum has the right to terminate the tour of a visiting group or any part thereof who refuses to observe the museum’s viewing rules and regulations.
